Welcome to the
7th International Conference on
Formal Concept Analysis
ICFCA 2009 - Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences,
Germany, May 21-24, 2009
Formal Concept Analysis emerged in the 1980's from attempts to restructure lattice theory to promote better communication between lattice theorists and potential users of lattice theory. Since then Formal Concept Analysis has developed into a growing research field in its own right with a thriving theoretical community and an increasing number of applications in information and knowledge processing including vizualisation, data mining and analysis, and knowledge management.
Topics of the conference
ICFCA deals with the following topics:
- Mathematics
- Computer and Information Sciences
- Software Engineering
- FCA theory
- Lattice Theory
- Data Mining
- Association Rules
- FCA-based Knowledge Representation
- Data Analysis
- Algorithmics
- Logics for/and FCA
- Lattice Drawing
- FCA and Software Engineering
- FCA Tools
Venue
Surrounded by the recreational areas of the Odenwald and the Bergstrasse, the Taunus and the Spessart, Darmstadt is favoured not only by nature, having a mild climate and fertile countryside, but is also particularly conveniently located for travel being in the center of Germany between the industrial regions of Rhine-Main and Mannheim-Ludwigshafen and close to the financial center Frankfurt. Frankfurt has the largest airport in Germany which is only a 25 minutes ride by a shuttle bus going non-stop to the city of Darmstadt.( Link ).
